Visible even from a distance and a true landmark of the Maschsee Lake Festival is the ‘Zum Bähren-Starken’ lighthouse corner. In the shade of the two lighthouses, visitors can enjoy grilled food and beer straight from the tap. Sushi variations, Asian soups and salads are on the menu at the Japanese SU-shin bar, where you can even watch the live preparation of your Nigiri or Sashimi dishes. Or step into the ‘Welcome to Miami’ right next door. Hamburgers and spare ribs, as well as pizzas, gilt-head bream and veal cutlets, are served here. The Alpine-style SeehausBiergarten attracts visitors with Bavarian specialities such as ‘Leberkäse’ (a mortadella-style baked sausage), baked ham and pretzels. The Smeraldo offers antipasti, pizzas, pasta and grilled lobster galore. In the adjacent Restaurant Aresto, the menu ranges from steaks to calamari salad, lamb and chicken kebabs. On Tuesdays, the focus here is traditionally on wine: paired with a 3-course menu prepared by Hannover’s legendary chef Dieter Biesler, top winemakers present their fine wines on 2 and 9 August. At the Costa Mekito next to the Hellebardier, you can indulge in tasty fried prawns, Mekito rolls and pasta dishes.
