Hybrid bus gets climate protection moving Hanover is setting an example for climate-friendly tourism with the new hybrid sightseeing bus that is currently on the road. The double-decker combines a diesel engine with an electric motor. At speeds of up to 30 km/h, the vehicle runs completely electrically, which ensures lower emissions, especially in the city center. If higher speeds are reached, the electric motor efficiently supports the diesel drive. As a result, the bus consumes around 15 liters less diesel per 100 kilometers compared to conventional double-deckers. Hanover is thus taking an important step towards sustainable mobility and at the same time offering visitors an environmentally friendly sightseeing experience.
