Renowned financial service providers such as Swiss Life and Nord/LB have a presence in the Leine city with headquarters and subsidiaries - as well as Deutsche Hypothekenbank. Furthermore there is the Bankhaus Hallbaum - a branch of Bankhaus M.M.Warburg & CO. The distinctive architecture of the headquarters of Nord/LB make quite an impression on Hannover’s cityscape. The most important credit institutions in the region are the savings banks and credit unions. Sparkasse Hannover bank is one of the biggest credit institutes subject to public law in Germany.
