The historic castle complex on Marienberg in Pattensen is a popular destination in the Hanover region. The castle was built by King George V of Hanover from 1858 to 1869 as a summer residence, hunting lodge, and later as a widow's residence.
The courtyard is open from August 10, 2024, Friday to Sunday! Due to extensive renovation work, the interiors of Marienburg Castle are not accessible. For more information.
