Finland - Suomen Pyrotekniikka

Founded in 2003 by cousins Aki and Simo Niittymäki, Suomen Pyrotekniikka Oy has grown to become Finland’s largest fireworks company in just two decades. With nearly 300 shows per year, the team is now a leading force in the industry—a notable record was setting 67 fireworks displays in a single day on New Year’s Eve 2019. SPT is also a household name internationally: three-time Finnish champion and multiple award winner at prestigious competitions, including victories in Riga (2017) and Courchevel (2020). At the Pyronale in Berlin in 2023, the team secured 2nd place and the Audience Award. The largest fireworks display in Finnish history was unforgettable: the impressive production marking the 100th anniversary of independence on December 31, 2016, in Helsinki. Precision, passion, and a spirit of innovation make SPT one of the leading representatives of European pyrotechnic art today.

Sweden - Gothenburg Fireworks Factory

Göteborgs FyrverkeriFabrik (GFF) was founded in 1994 by Martin Hildeberg and Anders Hållinder and is now considered one of Scandinavia’s most renowned fireworks companies. Since winning its first international competition in Knokke-Heist in 2001, the company has established a global presence—with performances in Hanover, Rome, Montreal, San Sebastián, Shanghai, and Manila. Hanover is a particularly successful venue for GFF: Hildeberg has competed here five times—and emerged victorious every single time. He therefore associates the city with many fond memories. In addition to competitions, GFF also enhances concerts, sporting events, and festivals with innovative pyromusicals. State-of-the-art technology such as Finale 3D, Pyrodigital, and Galaxis systems ensures the highest precision—and so GFF stands for creative shows that set global standards.
