Welcome to Hannover, Mr. President!

Hannover welcomes the US president: In a few days, Barack Obama will visit the capital of Lower Saxony to open the HANNOVER MESSE 2016. Besides being home to the world’s largest trade fair center, the capital of Lower Saxony offers fascinating highlights at any time of the year.

Trade Fair Hub & attractive Destination

Historical highlights, international trade fairs and an innovative location for business – Hannover knows how to fascinate its visitors. About 20 U.S. towns in Virginia, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New Jersey and elsewhere are believed to be named after the state capital of Lower Saxony, which was founded in 1241 in honor of the Hanoverian kings and settlers. By the way, just like New York, the city extends around the municipal forest of Eilenriede, which is even larger than Central Park.
