The Glowing Garden

The impressive illumination takes place in the Royal Gardens of Hanover during the summer months.

From May to October after sunset the wonderful fountains, sparkling springs, mysterious hedges and impressive statues in the Großer Garten Herrenhausen shine resplendent in solemn lighting. Baroque music adds on to the special atmosphere.

Little by little the lights of the trick fountains gleam, soft tones accompanying along the way. Finally the basin of the Great Fountain is reached which brightly enlightened ascends heavenwards and signalises the beginning of the actual illumination. An unforgettable experience!

The illumination lasts approximately one hour. Pay office closes thirty minutes before the end of the illumination. During the illumination the Grotto is open to visitors.
