Besides being home to the world’s largest trade fair center, the capital of Lower Saxony offers fascinating highlights at any time of the year. Historical highlights, international trade fairs and an innovative location for business – Hannover knows how to fascinate its visitors.

Baroque garden art

The Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen along with the recently rebuilt Herrenhausen Palace form Hannover’s most famous attraction and one of the most important Baroque gardens in Europe. The 17th century garden displays a dazzling array of romantic fountains, exotic plants and striking sculptures. Events such as the International Fireworks Competition and the Small Festival in the Great Garden regularly attract large numbers of visitors – very much in the tradition of a famous former resident: the universal scholar Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz.
