Leibniz-Bibliothek

The Lower Saxon State Library was given its new name in 2005: Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Library - Lower Saxon State Library. With a portfolio of nearly two million books, magazines and digital media, it is one of the largest regional libraries in Germany. His collection of books at the time was already aimed at creating a universal library. This made sense because he was an expert in all scientific disciplines. The library today contains 1.6 million media units, mainly books. In addition to a Leibniz bust, the display also includes some of his written works, as well as other exhibits.
