Which other trade fairs are held in the Hannover exhibition grounds?

In addition to the international leading trade fairs, end consumer trade fairs such as the abf and the infa are also held as experience and shopping trade fairs. Numerous smaller specialist and niche trade fairs also take place here. You can find an overview of all the trade fairs here.

How big are the Hannover exhibition grounds?

The exhibition grounds accommodate a total of 26 halls, a conference centre, several small pavilions and the largest cantilevered wooden roof in the world. In total, this results in a covered area of 496,000 m². The exhibition grounds in Hannover are the largest in the world, with a total area of approximately one million square metres. How do I get to the exhibition grounds??

You can get to the Hannover exhibition grounds quickly and conveniently, whether by train, plane or car.

  • By train/public transport:
    From the main Hannover train station, tram line 8/18 will take you directly to the Messeeingang Nord (North exhibition entrance) in just under 20 minutes.
    From the city centre, line 6/16 will take you to the Messeeingang Ost (East exhibition entrance).
    The nearest long-distance train station is Hannover Messe/Laatzen. You can reach the exhibition grounds via the Skywalk to attend large events.
  • By car:
    The exhibition grounds can be reached quickly and easily from virtually anywhere via the A2 and A7 motorways and the express road (Messe-Schnellweg).
    • From the north:
      A7 in the direction of Kassel/Hannover, exit 56, Hannover-Kirchhorst junction on the A37 (B3 Messe-Schnellweg (exhibition express road)) in the direction of Hannover/Messe
    • From the east:
      A2 in the direction of Magdeburg/Hannover/Dortmund, exit 47, Hannover-Buchholz junction on the A37 (B3 Messe-Schnellweg (exhibition express road)) in the direction of Hannover/Messe
    • From the south:
      A7 in the direction of Hannover/Hamburg, exit 60, Hannover-Süd (south) triangle on the A37 (B3 Messe-Schnellweg (exhibition express road) in the direction of Hannover/Messe
    • From the west
      A2 in the direction of Hannover/Magdeburg/Berlin, exit 48, Hannover-Ost junction on the A7 in the direction of Kassel, exit 58 Hannover-Anderten on the B65 in the direction of Hannover, Seelhorst junction on the B6 (exhibition express road) in the direction of Hannover/Messe.
    • There are over 30,000 parking spaces.
  • By plane:
    You can travel on the S-Bahn line S5 to the main train station. The train platform at Hannover airport is located between Terminals B and C. At the main train station, you can change to the underground lines 8/18 in the direction of Messe Nord. The journey time is approximately 45 minutes.  You will require approximately 30-45 minutes by car/taxi.
