Maschsee Festival Hannover 2026

Experience the maritime atmosphere at Germany’s largest lake festival! From July 22 to August 9, 2026, the 39th Maschseefest in Hannover invites you to a culinary journey around the world along the shores of Lake Maschsee. Over the course of 19 days, visitors can look forward to more than 200 performances and a wide variety of culinary offerings.

The Maschseefest is a paradise for foodies, offering international culinary delights across approximately 20,000 square meters. From Middle Eastern to Mexican, Asian, Scandinavian, and Hanseatic—there’s something for every taste. The international travel portal “Big 7 Travel” has ranked the Maschseefest 2022 as the 9th best summer festival for foodies. More than 4,000 seats are available, and many restaurants offer exclusive events such as winemaker evenings, tastings, Sunday brunches, and special themed evenings during the 19-day festival.

One of the classics and crowd favorites is the Charity Duck Race, which takes place on the Maschsee during the final weekend of the festival.
