Hanover, a hub of innovation, came together at the “Ideen Boulevard” during the Maschsee Festival: Over 1,500 participants attended the various events—including networking sessions, meetups, talks, and the “Höhle der Karpfen”—over two days on August 12 and 13 at the Maschsee Festival. In the heart of the city, the Hanover economic region showcased itself at the 3rd IDN Blvd. as a dynamic hub with a vibrant, diverse startup and creative scene.

We need to talk! Under this motto, more than 350 participants gathered on August 12 for the first Talkabout@IDN-Blvd event around Lake Maschsee. The program featured topics such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, New Work, creative and smart cities, digital education, and eSports. Speakers and participants came from a wide variety of fields: young startups and established companies exchanged ideas on theories, trends, and transformation.

On August 13, the Kreativ-Meile offered visitors the chance to touch, learn, and get involved. With a view of the lake and no registration required, attendees could experience the innovative and digital developments of more than 30 companies from the Hanover region. There, numerous startups, alongside long-established companies, presented their ideas and innovations for the future.

Also new to the program was Tuesday’s B2B event, the Learnabout @ IDN in the Courtyard, where companies presented best practices. Running parallel to the Mile, the digital scene—including virtual reality, blockchain, robotics, and AI—gathered at “Meet the Meetups” in the Groovegarden across the street. Afterward, eight startups from Hannover pitched their ideas there in the “Carp’s Den,” organized by hannoverimpuls—a fitting setting for a city with 50,000 students.
