Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen

The large barock garden covering around 50 hectares is still an almost completely unchanged witness of its times. At the end of the 17th century, the Guelph electors built a summer palace close to the borders of Hannover, and thus turned Herrenhausen into one of the main cultural centres in Europe.
