Can I cancel my booked city tour?

If you have booked tickets for a public city tour with us, we offer you a free rebooking to a later date up to 48 hours in advance. Please note that certain tours (e.g. culinary tours) are excluded from this.


Do the tours also take place in rain or snow?

Our tours also take place in the rain / snow. Please plan this accordingly when choosing your clothes. In the event of a storm and possible failure, we will inform you on site.


Where can I get tickets for the public tours?

Tickets for the city tours are available in our online shop or directly on site at the tourist information office at Ernst-August-Platz 8. In our online shop, you can conveniently pay for tickets by credit card or PayPal. Payment can be made in cash or with an EC card at the tourist information office.


Can seats be reserved for the tour in the double-decker bus?

Please understand that seats on the bus cannot be reserved in advance.


Is there a toilet in the double-decker bus?

There are no toilets on our buses. Toilets can be found at the New Town Hall or at the main train station, for example.


Can dogs be taken on the city tour in the double-decker bus?

Dogs can generally be taken along. If other guests are afraid of dogs, it may not be possible to take them along. We ask for consideration for the other guests.


Where do the tours begin?

The meeting point depends on the tour chosen. You will find the meeting point of the chosen tour in the description of the tour and on your voucher.


Are there guided tours for children?

Especially for children, we offer the “Hanover's Clever Minds” tour every Thursday during the Easter, summer and autumn holidays. Children from 8 years of age can take part, children under 12 years of age must be accompanied. 


What should I do if I do not receive an email with my ticket after booking?

Please check your spam folder or contact us.


Do I have to register in advance for a city tour?

That depends on the respective tour. You can buy tickets for our public city tours and tours in the double-decker bus directly on site. For guided tours through the city districts, culinary tours or special tours, you must purchase the tickets in advance.


Can I buy a voucher for a city tour?

You can order vouchers for different amounts in our online shop. You can then redeem the vouchers for city tours, souvenirs, adventure packages and much more. You can get vouchers for a certain value directly at the tourist information office at Ernst-August-Platz 8.


Are the tours barrier-free?

We offer numerous city tours for wheelchair users, the hearing impaired, the blind and visually impaired. Accompanied by experienced tour guides, you will learn a lot of interesting facts about the city's history. If you have any questions about the accessibility of individual tours, please do not hesitate to contact us by phone, email or on site.
Tip: Our public hop-on hop-off city tour is also barrier-free. The double-decker bus is equipped with two wheelchair spaces and a ramp. Free travel for accompanying persons with entry "B" in the handicap ID.
