Measurement procedure ("SZMnG") of INFOnline GmbH

Our website uses the measurement procedure ("SZMnG") of INFOnline GmbH (https://www.INFOnline.de) to determine statistical parameters about the use of our offerings. The aim of the usage measurement is to statistically determine the number of visits to our website, the number of website visitors and their surfing behavior - based on a uniform standard procedure - and thus to obtain values that are comparable across the market. For all digital offerings that are members of the Informationsgemeinschaft zur Feststellung der Verbreitung von Werbeträgern e.V. (IVW - http://www.ivw.eu) or participate in the studies of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Online-Forschung e.V. (AGOF - http://www.agof.de), the usage statistics are regularly compiled by AGOF and the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Media-Analyse e.V. (agma - http://www.agma-mmc.de) into reach figures and published with the performance value "Unique User" and by IVW with the performance values "Page Impression" and "Visits". These reach values and statistics can be viewed on the respective websites.

Legal basis for processing by INFOnline GmbH

Measurement by means of the SZMnG measurement method by INFOnline GmbH is carried out with legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO. The purpose of the processing of personal data is the creation of statistics and the formation of user categories. The statistics are used to be able to track and document the use of our offer. The user categories form the basis for an interest-based targeting of advertising media or advertising measures. Usage measurement, which ensures comparability with other market participants, is essential for marketing this website. Our legitimate interest results from the economic usability of the findings resulting from the statistics and user categories and the market value of our website - also in direct comparison with third-party websites - which can be determined on the basis of the statistics.

In addition, we have a legitimate interest in making the pseudonymized data available to INFOnline, AGOF and IVW for the purpose of market research (AGOF, agma) and for statistical purposes (INFOnline, IVW). Furthermore, we have a legitimate interest in making the pseudonymized data available to INFOnline for the further development and provision of interest-based advertising media.

Nature of the Data

INFOnline GmbH collects the following data, which is personal data according to the EU-DSGVO:

- IP address: On the Internet, every device requires a unique address, the so-called IP address, in order to transmit data. The storage of the IP address, at least for a short time, is technically necessary due to the way the Internet works. The IP addresses are shortened by 1 byte before any processing and are only processed anonymously. No storage or further processing of the untruncated IP addresses takes place.

- A randomly generated client identifier: Range processing alternatively uses either a third-party cookie, a first-party cookie, a "local storage object" or a signature created from various automatically transmitted information from your browser to recognize computer systems. This identifier is unique to a browser as long as the cookie or Local Storage Object is not deleted. Measurement of the data and subsequent assignment to the respective ClientIdentifier is therefore also possible when you call up other websites that also use the measurement procedure ("SZMnG") of INFOnline GmbH. The validity of the cookie is limited to a maximum of 1 year.

Use of the data

The measurement procedure of INFOnline GmbH that is employed on this website determines usage data. This is done in order to collect the performance values page impressions, visits and clients and to form further key figures from them (e.g. qualified clients). In addition, the measured data is used as follows:

- A so-called geolocation, i.e. the assignment of a website call to the location of the call, is carried out exclusively on the basis of the anonymized IP address and only up to the geographical level of the federal states / regions. Under no circumstances can conclusions be drawn about the specific location of a user from the geographical information obtained in this way.

- The usage data of a technical client (e.g., a browser on a device) is aggregated across websites and stored in a database. This information is used for the technical estimation of the socio-information age and gender and transferred to AGOF's service providers for further coverage processing. Within the scope of the AGOF study, socio characteristics are technically estimated on the basis of a random sample, which can be assigned to the following categories: Age, gender, nationality, occupation, marital status, general household information, household income, place of residence, Internet use, online interests, place of use, user type.

Storage period of data at INFOnline GmbH

The full IP address is not stored by INFOnline GmbH. The shortened IP address is stored for a maximum of 60 days. The usage data in connection with the unique identifier will be stored for a maximum of 6 months.

Disclosure of data by INFOnline GmbH

The IP address as well as the shortened IP address are not passed on. For the preparation of the AGOF study, data with client identifiers are passed on to the following AGOF service providers:

- Kantar Deutschland GmbH (https://www.tns-infratest.com/)

- Ankordata GmbH & Co. KG (http://www.ankordata.de/homepage/)

- Interrogare GmbH (https://www.interrogare.de/)

When participating, the tool collects non-personal data and information on the respective user concern (specific or general feedback) through an automated system. Social Plugins

On this website, so-called social plugins ("plugins") of Facebook Inc, 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ("Facebook"), Instagram LLC, 1601 Willow Rd Menlo Park CA 94025, USA ("Instagram"), Twitter Inc. 1355 Market Street, Suite 900 San Francisco, CA 94103, USA ("Twitter"), Pinterest Europe Ltd, Palmerston House, 2nd Floor, Fenian Street, Dublin 2, Ireland and Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google") are used.

The social plugins are marked with the corresponding logo and the Google plugin is also marked with "+1".

An embedded plugin will transmit certain basic data to the respective provider every time the website is called up, regardless of whether a user interaction - such as a click on "like" - takes place.  The data transfer is independent of whether a user account exists with the companies offering the plugin or whether the user is logged into his account at the time of the website call. Basic data in this case are the dynamic IP address and the current browser string. With the help of this data, user tracking as well as the creation of user profiles is possible.

Using the Facebook Like button as an example, it is easy to explain how these plugins work:

If the user is logged into Facebook, all data sent via the Like button can be associated with the user profile. If the Like button is also clicked, the information that the user found the content appealing is also added to the profile.

The data of Facebook users who are not logged in and of persons without a Facebook account are also transmitted to Facebook and processed for tracking and profiling purposes.

Further information on the purpose and scope as well as your options for protecting your privacy can be found in the corresponding privacy notices of Facebook, https://www.facebook.com/policy.php, Instagram, https://help.instagram.com/155833707900388, Twitter, https://twitter.com/de/privacy and Google, http://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/ (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO).

nugg.ad is committed to the legally regulated and perceived data protection in Germany and Europe without any ifs and buts. Therefore, we inform you here about the handling of data at nugg.ad and the importance of data for our technology.

1. what data do we store and process?

nugg.ad offers website operators a technology that makes it possible to deliver interest-based advertising. For advertisers, interest-based advertising from nugg.ad is useful because the effectiveness of advertising is increased. As a result, the total amount of advertising placements can be reduced and you as a user benefit from being shown a smaller amount of advertising, which furthermore is more likely to match your areas of interest than a purely random placement of advertising.

To this end, nugg.ad uses rough information based on your internet usage. nugg.ad's technology remembers the surfing behavior of Internet users by storing a cookie in the browser of your end device with a lifespan of 26 weeks: This means that the number of web visits in different subject areas is counted. nugg.ad stores aggregated information on usage behavior with a hashed ID in the nugg.ad system, i.e. it does not store the specific internet addresses that you have called up, but rather nugg.ad stores the frequencies of use of different subject areas on a website-by-website basis in a cookie (see section 3 below for more information). This rough information about your internet usage can be used by the nugg.ad technology across websites.

Sensitive subject areas such as religion, health or sexuality are not taken into account. No other data is collected beyond this. nugg.ad in particular never stores information about your name, address, e-mail or IP address. By using privacy-friendly technologies and elaborate anonymization, we have no way of knowing specifically who the user is who is currently viewing the website. As a matter of principle, we do not pass on directly personal data to third parties, in particular authorities or companies.

Furthermore, nugg.ad conducts surveys on its customers' websites. These surveys are voluntary, are not remunerated and can be cancelled at any time. The information collected there is stored in the nugg.ad system together with a hashed ID.  We do not survey children under the age of fourteen. Under no circumstances will we ask you questions about your ethnic origin, your political opinions or religious or philosophical beliefs, your trade union activities, your health or your sex life. We will also in no way classify your usage behavior into these categories.

Special precautions are taken in the nugg.ad system to comply with the principle of data economy. In particular, an anonymization service operated by an independent party ensures that no user IP addresses enter the nugg.ad system. Special technical and contractual precautions have been taken to ensure that the anonymization protection is not circumvented by nugg.ad employees.

2. target group targeting and campaign management.

nugg.ad identifies advertising-relevant target groups according to socio-demographic characteristics and product interests. We only process the statistical patterns resulting from the use of online advertising and editorial content.

So that you are not inundated with the same advertising material over and over again or even feel disturbed, we count how often you were shown an advertising material in different campaigns. If you exceed a certain number of ad impressions, you will not be shown any further advertising material from the campaign in question.

nugg.ad itself does not deliver any advertising material, but transmits the target group information to ad servers or other platforms involved in the delivery of advertising material. This is done either in real time through a direct connection to the respective platform or through time-delayed communication. In the first variant, no IDs are used. The second variant requires the one-time synchronization of IDs. Before the ID of another platform enters the nugg.ad system, this ID is completely pseudonymized individually by an independent third party, so that nugg.ad cannot draw any conclusions about a specific person from this ID.

3. use of "cookies

nugg.ad works with cookies. It goes without saying that we do not use spyware, adware, spam or viruses. Our cookies are stored in the browser of your end device (e.g. PC, laptop, SmartPhone, etc.) with a lifetime of 26 weeks. Our d-cookie, like the ut-cookie, is used for target group analysis and contains the number of web visits in various subject areas. In the ci cookie, we store how often an advertising medium was displayed to you. The cookies only contain rough information about your internet usage.

From the information in the cookie, we cannot establish a direct personal reference to the user. In particular, we cannot infer the name, address or other directly identifying data of the user. Nevertheless, you naturally have the option of not allowing these cookies or simply deleting them by making the appropriate setting in your browser.

4. opt-in/opt-out function and topic monitor

If you have an interest in having advertisements displayed on Internet pages that match your areas of interest, then you can give consent (opt-in) for further topic-based analysis of your usage behavior. If you give consent, this opt-in cookie will also be stored in the browser of your end device. The storage period is 1 year. If information has been stored by nugg.ad in cookies previously placed in the browser of your end device, the setting of the opt-in cookie will have the following effect: Your consent extends the lifetime of the cookies already set by nugg.ad to a total of 1 year (calculated from the time these cookies were set). The information stored in the cookies prior to the opt-in will therefore be retained after your consent and deleted when the cookie lifetime expires, i.e. after a maximum of 1 year.

You have the right to prevent the recording of measurement data by the nugg.ad system at any time by using the option to object (opt-out). You can also revoke an already granted consent at any time with effect for the future. An opt-out is also stored in a cookie in your browser's terminal device, has a lifespan of 10 years and bears the name "nuggstopp" and is set by "nuggad.net".

Please note that the opt-out is technically no longer recognizable to us if you delete the cookies in your browser.

You can declare your consent or your objection on the Internet on the nugg.ad homepage or on the "My Topics Monitor" page. To do so, please click on the corresponding button. The "My Topics Monitor" information page allows you to see how nugg.ad has classified your surfing behavior. For this purpose, the aggregated frequencies of your usage behavior are read from the cookie in encrypted form and displayed in broad categories. You can find further information on the "My Topics Monitor" page.

5. data security

All employees of nugg.ad AG who handle the above-mentioned data are sworn to secrecy in accordance with §5 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz) when they take up their duties. nugg.ad also uses technical and organizational security measures to protect data from manipulation, destruction or loss.
