Coronavirus - What you need to know now (as of June 24, 2021)

Dear Hanover guest,

From May 20, 2021 tourist overnight stays in Hanover are possible again. Accommodation companies are therefore allowed to reopen in the Hanover region. However, certain restrictions apply. There must be a full vaccination or proof of full recovery. All guests who have not yet been fully vaccinated or who have not recovered must prove a negative test on arrival (not older than 24 hours) .

Some of our adventure packages can therefore be booked again! A selection of the currently possible experience packages can be found here.

Please note that tourist overnight stays are only possible if the incidence is stable below 100. If the incidence rises again, no tourist trips are allowed. Any changes can also arise at short notice!


Travel regulations

Please inform yourself about the valid travel conditions before starting your journey. You can obtain this from the regulations of the state government of Lower Saxony in the current Lower Saxony Corona Ordinance.


What do I have to consider in the hotel?

Hotels in the Hanover region are therefore allowed to reopen from May 20th, 2021. However, certain restrictions apply. There must be a full vaccination or a proven recovery. All guests who have not yet been fully vaccinated or who have not recovered must provide evidence of a negative test on arrival (not older than 24 hours).

The hotels have taken appropriate measures to contain the corona virus:
Disinfection of the room keys and cards, the buttons in the elevator, door handles, light switches, handrails on stairs at regular intervals, shortened cleaning cycles for the sanitary facilities in public areas.
Please wear a medical face mask during check-in / check-out.
Distance rule from tables in the hotel restaurant at 2m, the service staff wear a nose and mouth mask.


Please help with the implementation of the measures and ensure that there is a sufficient minimum distance from the other guests.


Recreational facilities and museums?

Recreational facilities and museums are open. Please note the respective hygiene measures of the individual facilities. A mask is required indoors. A negative test result must be presented when visiting museums (exception: those who have recovered or are vaccinated).


Can I cancel my booked experience package?

For trips from May 20, 2021, the cancellation rules according to our general terms and conditions apply.


What cancellation costs will I have to pay if I cancel?

If you have booked a trip (experience package) that is not listed in the above If you wish to cancel the period takes place, HMTG can demand reasonable compensation for the travel arrangements and expenses made. The cancellation fee is:
-up to the 31st day before departure 10%
-from the 30th to the 21st day before departure 20%
-from the 20th to the 12th day before departure 40%
-from the 11th to the 3rd day before departure 60%
-from the 3rd day of the start of the trip and if the trip is not started 90% of the trip price.


What happens if the event is canceled?

If your booked event is canceled, we will inform you in good time. If you cancel, we will cancel your booked experience package free of charge.
In this case, we are happy to offer you a free rebooking to another date.
Feel free to contact us if you would like to make use of the hotel accommodation without the event program.


Which adventure packages are offered?

You can find an overview of our adventure packages here. Book your experience package with a visit to the international fireworks competition, tickets for city tours, a visit to the adventure zoo, the Maschsee Festival or participation in an event. Our offers are regularly updated and additional experience packages are added.


How can I book an experience package?

You can book or inquire about the experience packages directly in our online shop.


How do I pay for the experience package I have booked?

When booking an adventure package, you will receive an invoice from us. Payment is made by bank transfer. For short-term bookings, payment is made by credit card or PayPal.


What should I do if I have not received any feedback after the request / booking?

You will receive a response from us within 48 hours. Please also check your spam folder or contact us by email or phone.


Which hotels can I book as part of an experience package?

The offer of the respective hotel depends on the chosen experience package and availability. You can choose a hotel directly in the online shop.


Is breakfast included with the overnight stay?

Yes, all adventure packages include breakfast in the hotel.


Can additional nights be booked?

We would be happy to extend your experience in Hanover with additional overnight stays. The prices for this depend on the respective package. Select your desired travel period in our online shop and the price for additional nights will be calculated automatically.


Are special family packages offered?

We offer different adventure packages for families. Visit, for example, the adventure zoo, Sea Life or the SUPERFLY trampoline hall. Overnight stays in family rooms are especially for families.


Can I combine the desired experience package with other modules?

You are welcome to individually expand your booked experience package with our experience modules.


Are parking spaces available at the hotels?

As a rule, all partner hotels have parking spaces, these are mostly chargeable. The costs depend on the hotel. Please note that parking spaces cannot be reserved in advance.


Can I buy a voucher for an experience package?

Yes, please send us an email with the name of the experience package you want. You can also order the voucher by phone. You will receive the voucher together with an invoice by post. The vouchers are valid for 3 years.


Can I cancel or rebook an experience package?

The amount of the cancellation fee depends on the cancellation date. Please note our terms and conditions. Rebooking to another date is possible in connection with a rebooking fee.


Are there barrier-free rooms?

We work with hotels that offer barrier-free rooms. If a barrier-free room is required, please indicate this when booking.
