Dine like a sultan: With its stylish ambiance, the Sultan Palace enchants its guests just like in *One Thousand and One Nights*. Housed in a historic building with a summery beer garden, “Castello im Herzog Ferdinand” offers upscale Italian cuisine. The LieblingsBar, located right next to the Herrenhausen Market, entices diners with down-to-earth favorites, artfully prepared using fresh, local ingredients.

During a tour of the Herrenhausen brewery, founded in 1868, "Herri fans" and other interested parties learn interesting facts about the history and production of the traditional brewery.

City life

Herrenhausen is one of the greenest neighborhoods in Hanover: It’s quiet and peaceful here, and families, young people, and students appreciate the pleasant, laid-back atmosphere.

On five summer evenings from May through September, the International Fireworks Competition takes place in the Herrenhausen Gardens: a highlight for everyone—with an exciting lineup of live music, cabaret, dance, and theater!

Speaking of the Herrenhausen Gardens—they’re always worth a visit! In the Great Garden, time seems to slow down: you can enjoy nature, attend cultural events, or find inspiration in the Niki de Saint Phalle Grotto. You can see over 2,500 animals in more than 40 tanks and aquariums at SEA LIFE Hannover in the Rainforest House of the Berggarten, including sharks and sea turtles in the ocean tank.

The city center is just a few minutes away for shopping.

Nature

From the Graft, it’s just a few minutes by bike to the Leineaue—pure nature, right in the heart of Hanover. The Herrenhausen Gardens invite you to marvel at their stunning plants, and the Berggarten is considered one of Germany’s oldest botanical gardens.

In the evening, you can enjoy your favorite drink or meal in a lovely atmosphere at your favorite bar. You can also spend a long time in one of the quaint pubs and enjoy the evening with friends.
