Nights in Nordstadt are long...you don't have to look far for a great evening. Start out at one of the many bars. The Musikzentrum, Weidendamm, or Schwule Sau are all nearby. A legendary spot: Onkel Olli's.

A shopping trip in Nordstadt is also exciting, because the shops are as unique as the residents: cool, trendy, quirky—simply different. When it comes to shopping for clothes and groceries, Nordstadt is in a league of its own. At Schön Schön, Designkombinat, or Onkel Olli’s, you’ll find everything your heart desires. If you’re into vintage or secondhand items, you’ll find what you’re looking for here, too.

City life

The more than 16,000 residents are a colorful mix of students, young families, longtime North City residents, and plenty of unique characters. There’s a lively atmosphere, especially on the “E-Damm,” where there’s always something going on, even at night.

Nature

Both the Georgengarten with its beautiful avenue and the Welfengarten at the university are wonderful places to stroll with a coffee or spread out a blanket in summer.

Culture

Anyone who enjoys street art and graffiti will love the unique building facades on Engelbosteler Damm or on Bodestraße.
