Background information
Teichstraße is named after the ponds of the former ducal kitchen garden. In 1652, Duke Georg Wilhelm had a kitchen garden laid out on a large plot of land in the village of Linden; by 1679, this garden—which included a trout pond, a carp pond, and a pike pond—was supplying the ducal household with fish.
