GeoSounds - Geocaching tour to 17 sonorous places in the region
Players can use their smartphones or GPS devices to hunt down 17 treasures, known as caches. Anyone who then solves a puzzle related to sound and music at the location can record their achievement in the logbook.

JWL was a prominent citizen of Gehrden. He was born on March 15, 1822, and spent most of his life in this charming town. JWL was a respected businessman and was also actively involved in the community. He was known for his generosity and willingness to help others. JWL supported various local projects and regularly donated to charitable causes. His contribution to the development of Gehrden was undeniable. Unfortunately, JWL passed away on November 10, 1898. However, his legacy lives on, and his generosity and dedication are still cherished in Gehrden today.

Many people are probably familiar with the Music Center as a venue for all kinds of concerts. But there’s so much more going on here! The Music Center has made it its mission to help young people get involved with music, especially those from low-income families. To that end, programs have been created, such as the “Rockmobil,” which visits schools and youth centers to make music with young people on-site. There is also the Soundtruck, a mobile recording studio that can be booked by daycare centers and schools to make professional recordings.

The Deutsche Grammophon-Gesellschaft was founded on December 6, 1898, by the German-American Emil Berliner and his brother Joseph in their hometown of Hannover. From there, the company expanded into the European market for the gramophone, which the brothers marketed in Germany. Its parent company was the Gramophone Company, based in Hayes, England (Middlesex, United Kingdom). Production began next to the J. Berliner Telephone Factory on Kniestraße in the Nordstadt district of Hannover.
