Nights in Nordstadt are long...you don't have to look far to have a great evening. Start out at one of the many pubs. The Musikzentrum, Weidendamm, or Schwule Sau are all nearby. A cult favorite: Onkel Olli's.

A shopping trip in Nordstadt is also a lot of fun, because the shops are just as unique as the people who live there: cool, trendy, quirky, and simply different. When it comes to shopping for clothes and groceries, Nordstadt is in a league of its own. At Schön Schön, Designkombinat, or Onkel Olli’s, you’ll find everything your heart desires. If you’re into vintage or secondhand items, you’ll find what you’re looking for here, too.
City life
The more than 16,000 residents are a diverse group of students, young families, long-time residents of the northern part of the city, and many unique characters. There’s a lively atmosphere, especially on “Engelbosteler Damm,” where there’s always something going on, even at night.
Nature
Both the Georgengarten with its beautiful avenue and the Welfengarten at the university are wonderful places to stroll with a coffee or spread out a blanket in summer.
Culture
Anyone who enjoys street art and graffiti will love the unique building facades on Engelbosteler Damm or Bodestraße.
