The Zoo district is home to the Hannover Adventure Zoo, which features over 2,000 animals in natural habitats. Joggers won’t have far to go to reach the Eilenriede—Europe’s largest urban forest! Climbers can test their skills at the Hannover Rope Course. Nestled amid the lush greenery of the Eilenriede is the Lister Turm recreation center with its beer garden. The City Park offers pure relaxation and garden design at its finest. It’s a place to stroll and explore, such as the large Japanese tea garden with the Hiroshima tea house. For a break, stop by the Rosencafé.

City life

As the name suggests, the chic Zooviertel is located right next to the zoo. The streets themselves are beautiful and you can admire the great architecture and live very nicely. This also makes the Zooviertel one of the most sought-after residential areas in the city.

Cuisine & going out

The Zooviertel has a lot to offer in terms of cuisine: The certified organic day bar Zurück zum Glück serves (almost) only organic, seasonal products from the region. At Ohlala, you can eat froyo until you drop. The ice-cold yogurts can be spiced up with countless toppings. Wok & Roll is an exotic place: open kitchen with panoramic glass wall, stylish ambience, original Vietnamese delicacies.

Tiffany's Bar-Café-Lounge impresses with pasta & pizza in a nostalgic ambience: cool cocktail lounge, sunny beer garden - that's dolce vita. 

Shopping 

The Zooviertel is the perfect place for varied shopping. At the Zooviertel weekly market, which takes place on Tuesdays and Saturdays, you will find many direct marketers from the region offering their products.

 Stilglück provides "stylish fashion that makes you happy": whether trendy parkas, great jeans or branded sweaters - clear and timeless. 

Culture

Music fans will find plenty to enjoy at the University of Music, Drama and Media Hannover (HMTMH)—whether it’s jazz, guest concerts, or chamber music festivals. At Stadtpark, the Hannover Congress Centrum (HCC) hosts a series of parties and music concerts.

Nature

Right next to the Zoo District, you can explore one of the most beautiful parts of the Eilenriede. The city park at the HCC, which is over 100 years old, is also very popular with walkers.

Nightlife

In the evening, you can enjoy a delicious meal and a good wine in one of the great restaurants such as the "Vienna", the "Prager Hof" or the "Hindenburg Klassik". 

The Tiffany's Bar-Café-Lounge is also suitable - a cool cocktail lounge including a sunny beer garden. This is dolce vita.
