On November 22, countertenor Andreas Scholl, flutist Dorothee Oberlinger, lutenist Edin Karamazov, and actor Matthias Brandt will open the season with “Shakespeare!” Music and literature centered on the English playwright will be the focus of the evening at the Herrenhausen Gallery.

On December 2, the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin will present “Europe dances!” On December 11, Musica Alta Ripa and Jens Harzer, together with other performers, will present “Leibniz and the Princely Women.” The program draws on the correspondence between Electress Sophie, Sophie Charlotte, and Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz.
