Even as a schoolboy, he preferred to lose himself in his dream worlds rather than focus on his lessons. This penchant for the fantastical is reflected today in his surrealist paintings, which he creates intuitively and without reference, using oil and acrylic paints on often oversized canvases. His works invite the viewer to immerse themselves in fantastical landscapes characterized by floating cotton-candy trees and stone staircases leading into nothingness. Dabbert’s art, which captivates with its recognizability, has already earned him a loyal following in Berlin.
This artwork is located at the boiler house on the Faust site.
