Monkey Movement at Raschplatz

Graffiti at Raschplatz in downtown Hanover:

The pictures that make up the Urban Jungle have been on display in the underpass directly behind the main station since 2016.

Raschplatz in Hanover was transformed into a street art hotspot in 2016 through a joint project between the Hanover parkour group “monkey movenments,” the UJZ Glocksee, and the Youth Sports Center. Under the theme “Urban Jungle,” numerous graffiti pieces were created here, completed by a total of four artists and six young people. Existing motifs were incorporated into the graffiti. The goal was to create a suitable environment for parkour practitioners to enjoy their hobby. Additionally, the artists sought to improve the square’s poor reputation and draw attention to the need for better integration of homeless people, drug addicts, and those who feel they have no place in society.
