The Art Education Program “Art Bypass“ will enter a new phase starting in July 2026 and will be offered year-round going forward; it will be published twice a year. This new structure opens up fresh perspectives on public art in Hannover—supported by an expanded outreach team consisting of:
Anne Bernhof (art historian), AG&CO Anna Grunemann (artist) and Christiane Oppermann (artist), Carina Plath (director of the Office for Art in Public Spaces), Bastian Schramm (cultural studies scholar), Lukas Zerbst (artist).
The new team members introduce formats that, together with the established offerings—GPS, guided tours, Special Topic, and Sculpture Transfer—examine art in urban space in a participatory, playful, exploratory, and critical manner. They broaden perspectives and stimulate discussions about urban space—a space that is also a venue for democratic negotiation. In addition, the program includes formats specifically designed to appeal to young audiences and are family-friendly.
All events are free of charge. Registration is not required. Special tours and school workshops can be booked for a fee.
