Eugène Dodeigne | Etude I-V

The sculptor Eugène Dodeigne (born in 1923 in Rouvreux, Belgium), who lives in northern France, has reduced his five stone figures to their posture—in this way, they provide an excellent canvas for projecting aspects of personality. They stand on a small grassy mound that was created specifically for them as part of the redesign of Königsworther Platz. Before the City of Hanover acquired them, Galerie Brusberg exhibited the sculpture ensemble on Emmichplatz. Other works in Hanover: “The Large Family” behind the Museum August Kestner; memorial to the former concentration camp satellite camp in Hanover-Misburg. » Location: Brühlstraße/Otto-Brenner-Straße (at the Neustadt Cemetery)
