The young landscape architects Dominik Geilker (born in 1978 in Löhne) and Stefanie Schmoll (born in 1979 in Gelsenkirchen) developed the concept for this project during a workshop led by Professor Udo Weilacher at the Institute of Landscape Architecture at Leibniz University Hannover. The work is located on a newly designed median island, where the planting of grasses is part of the design concept. Although the installation was created in the context of landscape architecture, it employs techniques from the visual arts. Located at a heavily trafficked intersection, it subtly addresses directions, movements, changes, states, and situations; it visualizes existing natural elements such as the wind, while also referencing and abstractly simulating naturalness. The costs of the project were covered by four neighboring companies, which also played a key role in selecting the project: NORD/LB, Sparkasse Hannover, Sparkassenverband Niedersachsen, and VGH. » Location: Aegidientorplatz (on the traffic island)
