HAWOLI | Turnable screws

The work by the artist HAWOLI (Hans Wolf Lingemann, born 1935 in Bleckede) was created as part of the “Street Art Program” and embodies its participatory vision. It is street art in the truest sense: kinetic, symbolic, demanding movement, and provoking the idea of taking action oneself. The artist originally intended a location where the columns would be more of an obstacle to passersby, where a confrontation with the objects and the movements they trigger would be more immediate.
