The kinetic object by Hein Sinken (b. 1914 in Aachen – d. 1987) was created as part of the “Street Art Program.” Set against the backdrop of historic and modern architecture, it appears in front of the Historical Museum like an exhibit positioned as a landmark. With its pronounced verticality, it could also be a meteorological measuring instrument—and indeed, it visualizes the wind high above our heads, stillness and movement, invisible factors of its location. This results in gentle shifts in space through the seemingly simultaneous opening and closing, as well as slow and gentle light transitions and reflections. Another work in Hannover: “Anemokinetic Object III,” Osterstraße/Karmarschstraße. » Location: Burgstraße (in front of the Historical Museum)
