Learning to write is a truly special moment: it opens doors to new worlds, fosters creativity, and helps you find your own voice—for children and adults alike. The exhibition takes you on an exciting journey through the history of writing—from the traditional quill pen to the legendary Pelikan fountain pen with an ink cartridge, all the way to the modern keyboard.

Discover a wide range of fascinating exhibits from the collections of Pelikan and the Hannover Historical Museum, and experience the evolution of writing culture up close. At our interactive stations, visitors of all ages can get hands-on, write, experiment, and playfully immerse themselves in the world of letters.

Come by during our store opening hours or take part in our free curator tours on Sundays at 11 a.m. (dates: 28.09., 09.11., 07.12., 04.01.2026).

Historical guided tours - a journey through time and brand

In addition to our factory outlet and exhibitions, we cordially invite you to join our historical tours—an exciting journey of discovery through the Pelikan District.

In about 90 minutes, you’ll delve into the eventful history of the founding Günther Wagner family, learn fascinating details about the origins and development of the Pelikan brand, and explore the historic factory grounds with their impressive buildings.

The tour offers fascinating insights: from the early days of a small factory to an international heritage brand that has been associated with the culture of writing for generations. The tour combines historical facts with vivid stories—an experience that impressively bridges the past and the present.
