Historical background:

The name Tender Buttons goes back to the collection of poems of the same name by Getrude Stein (1874 - 1946). The American author and art collector published this masterpiece of lyrical cubism in 1914. The founding of the Kestner Gesellschaft can also be traced back to 1916.
