The Kunsthalle Faust invites you to encounter contemporary art. International and regional artists present themselves there in changing exhibitions. The exhibition planning focuses on experimental, spatial aspects, conceptual approaches and working with new media in general.
Organized in the form of symposia with artists and organizers at European and international level, these projects offer a platform for intensive artistic exchange. Thematic group and solo exhibitions in the fields of painting, graphic art, object art and photography complement the program.
Since 1991, the Faust Cultural Center, located in the heart of Hanover’s Linden district, has been a hub for vibrant and multifaceted cultural and community initiatives. Situated on the former site of the Werner & Ehlers mattress spring factory, the cultural center offers over 6,300 square meters of versatile space dedicated to art, culture, education, and social programs. In the three event halls—the Warenannahme, the 60s Hall, and the Kunsthalle—a diverse range of cultural events, from music and literature to theater and art exhibitions, coexists with disco and club series as well as dedicated, multifaceted educational and community association work. More than thirty clubs, through their dedication and projects, foster interdisciplinary and intercultural work that extends far beyond the neighborhood.
