Faust Cultural Center
Live concerts, parties, readings, exhibitions and much more in different locations on one site.
Faust Cultural Center
Since 1991, the Faust Cultural Center has been a driving force behind cultural and community initiatives in Hannover-Linden. Located on the former site of the Werner & Ehlers mattress spring factory, the center now offers more than 6,300 square meters of space dedicated to art, culture, education, and social projects. Around thirty associations, initiatives, and projects have transformed the site into a vibrant gathering place whose influence extends far beyond the neighborhood.
Faust sees itself not only as a venue, but also as a sociocultural center where people of different generations and backgrounds come together, develop projects, and shape culture together.
Concerts, Parties, and Cultural Events at Faust
The event program ranges from live concerts and club nights to theater, literature, exhibitions, film, discussions, and experimental formats. The lineup features both national and international artists, as well as bands and up-and-coming talent from Hannover and the surrounding region.
Visitors to the Faust Cultural Center in Hannover can therefore experience a different side of the venue at every event. Discover new music, dance to a variety of sounds, or immerse yourself in performing arts, readings, and unique cultural events.
The 1960s Hall and Mephisto
The '60s Hall is one of the main concert and party venues on the grounds. With room for about 650 people, it combines the intimacy of a live club with the space for larger concerts. It is complemented by the Mephisto, which regularly hosts parties and club events.
Experience live music right in front of the stage, or kick off your evening at a party. It’s the variety of spaces that makes Faust so appealing: instead of a single event hall, you’ll find an entire complex filled with diverse cultural venues.
Warenannahme: A Stage for Literature, Theater, and Discussion
At the goods receiving area, the program expands to include literature, music, documentaries, political discussions, talk shows, and theater. Improvisational theater and live literature also have a place here.
If you enjoy experiencing culture outside of traditional concert settings, it’s worth taking a look at the current program at Warenannahme.
Lieschen and tanzRAUM Faust
With the Lieschen, Faust also has a smaller venue for experimental events, cabaret, exhibitions, literature, and special event formats. The intimate atmosphere creates space for encounters and new ideas. The tanzRAUM Faust serves as a production and performance venue for professional and semiprofessional dance, as well as for sociocultural projects.
Gretchen Beer Garden and Günes Pizza
A cultural evening at Faust can also be extended with some culinary delights. The Gretchen beer garden and Pizza Günes are both located on the premises. Especially during the warmer months, the beer garden is a great place to gather outdoors before or after an event.
Industrial Heritage Meets the Creative Present
Today’s cultural center was built on the site of a former mattress spring factory. Brick buildings, courtyards, event halls, and creative spaces give the area its unique character. The site’s history remains visible, while stages, projects, and events continually breathe new life into the grounds. The Faust Cultural Center is located in Hannover-Linden at the following address:
