Hello Europe
France is the guest of honor at the International Fireworks Competition
“Hello Europe – Welcome to Hannover”: Under this motto, this year’s International Fireworks Competition invites visitors to the Herrenhausen Gardens. For the second event, we welcome the French team from Brezac Artifices to the Great Garden.
2023 International Fireworks Competition
After a welcome from the quintessentially French walking acts Marquis d’Éscargot and the Electoress at a snail’s pace, charming Fleurs de Paris, steampunks, Tour de France conquerors, and cheeky crêpe makers bring moments of cultural joy to the Great Garden. In addition to baroque equestrian artistry, French chansons by the Marion & Sobo Band and MaemoiCelle create authentic French flair. It’s not just the kids who will be entertained by Mantega’s visual comedy and Fidolo’s little circus as part of the supporting program, before Brezac Artifices lights up the sky starting at 10:30 p.m.

The Team: Brezac Artifices
Founded in 1964 and first performing in Herrenhausen in 1995, the French company is now one of the world’s leading fireworks companies. The team focuses on musical choreography, which evokes strong emotions in the audience. “I’m especially looking forward to integrating the Baroque garden elements into the show as part of the overall setting,” said show designer and manager Patrick Bault. “The perfect Baroque style of the Herrenhausen Gardens made a lasting impression on me during my first visit.”
Her Show: Chagrin d’Amour – Heartbreak
What could be more universal than love? Almost everyone can relate to the feelings of love and heartbreak. The show explores the various stages of heartbreak. Brezac Artifices brings these powerful emotions together in a deeply moving performance that touches the heart.
