Information about tickets within the Region Hannover
For travel to and from the Region Hannover, we recommend tickets from the Greater Hannover Transport Authority (GVH), which are also valid on the S-Bahn and on DB Regio, metronom, erixx, and Westfalenbahn trains (in second class). For more information:
Bus line 267 takes you directly to Lake Maschsee and runs every 15 minutes from Kröpcke or Aegidientorplatz (across from the opera house):
Service hours Monday through Thursday: 5:15 p.m. to 12:58 a.m. Friday and Saturday: 4:10 p.m. to 2:10 a.m. Sunday: 10:30 a.m. to 12:43 a.m.
The following stops are served from Kröpcke:
Aegidientorplatz/Georgstraße, Bleichenstraße, Maschsee/Sprengel Museum, Funkhaus, Maschsee/Geibelstraße, Sailing School, Löwenbastion, Maschsee/Strandbad. (On the return trip toward downtown, the stops at Bleichenstraße and Maschsee/Sprengel Museum are omitted; instead, a stop will be added on Culemannstraße.)
The 800 bus route
Bus route 800 is also in operation on the section from Altenbekener Damm to Aegidientorplatz.
Bus lines 100 and 200 also take you to the Maschsee/Sprengel Museum stop.
Departure with the S-Bahn
The Hannover S-Bahn runs at least once an hour between the main station and the surrounding area until midnight. There is also a night service from Friday to Saturday and from Saturday to Sunday.
