Oktoberfest 2026

From September 25 to October 11, 2026, the Hannover Oktoberfest will bring a festive atmosphere to the Schützenplatz. Look forward to rides, festival tents, family days, fireworks, and special activities for all ages.

Oktoberfest Hannover: Opening Hours for 2026

Experience the Hannover Oktoberfest right in the heart of the city: On Wednesdays and Thursdays, the festival grounds are open from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. On Fridays and Saturdays, you can party from 3:00 p.m. to midnight. On Sundays and holidays, the fun starts as early as 2:00 p.m. and ends at 11:00 p.m. The Oktoberfest is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Before holidays, the fairgrounds are open until midnight. In the festival tents, the party even continues until 12:30 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Family Days at the Hannover Oktoberfest

Wednesdays are especially worth a visit for families. On Family Days, you can get up to 50 percent off rides and up to 25 percent off other purchases.

Fireworks over the Schützenplatz

Enjoy a dazzling highlight on Friday evenings: At 9:45 p.m., a 360° fireworks display lights up the sky over the Hannover Oktoberfest.

The fireworks displays will take place on September 25, October 2, and October 9, 2026.

Marquees and the Atmosphere at Oktoberfest

Immerse yourself in the festival tent atmosphere at the Schützenplatz. The Oktoberfest Hannover features two festival tents: the Festhalle Ahrend and the Festhalle Marris. On Fridays and Saturdays, you can party there until 12:30 a.m.

For the Marris Festival Hall, table reservations can be made directly with the festival tent operators. Further details about the festival tent program will be published as soon as they are finalized.

Lantern Parade on October 9

A special event for families is the lantern parade on Friday, October 9, 2026. The parade begins at 6:00 p.m. at the Human Rights Square and proceeds to Schützenplatz. The “Dance and Drums” marching band will provide musical accompaniment.
