From July 22 to August 9, 2026 A diverse program awaits you at the Maschsee Festival over 19 days, featuring live music, parties, sporting events, family activities, and culinary experiences all around the Maschsee.
Opening with the 2026 Finals
The Maschseefest will kick off on July 22 alongside the 2026 Finals. Starting at 4 p.m. on a floating stage on the north shore, visitors can look forward to a roughly 90-minute show featuring celebrity guests as well as live performances by Fury in the Slaughterhouse, Lina Larissa Strahl, and DJ KitCut.
North Shore Stage
The Norduferbühne will offer a diverse lineup of stage performances throughout the Maschsee Festival. On 14 of the 19 days of the event, the HAZ and Neue Presse will curate the program with popular events such as “Fisch sucht Fahrrad,” dancing with the Bothe Dance School, a poetry slam, and “Hähle der Karpfen.”.
A sporting highlight will be the medal ceremonies for the finals, which will take place each evening from July 23 to 26 on stage.
On July 24, the NP Finals Party will take place in collaboration with Radio Bollerwagen. Look forward to Ballermann star Tobee, other artists, and a lively party atmosphere right on the Maschsee.
On July 29, QueerWednesday, in partnership with Hannoversche Volksbank, will send a colorful message of diversity and openness.
On the second weekend of the festival, RADIO 21 will take over the lineup on the North Shore Stage. Get ready for an atmospheric Country Night as well as rock and party hits featuring Anthony Miller & The French Press, HOTSPOT, and HELLFIRE.
On August 5, the UNESCO City of Music Hannover, in collaboration with the HVG, will present its first-ever themed evening featuring live music and talks. Host Marisa Puoti will guide the audience through the program, which features artists such as the Junges Vokalensemble, Rainer Schumann (Fury in the Slaughterhouse), Emilie Sandin, and Ronja Maltzahn.
To wrap up the festival on August 7, bigFM will be bringing the latest beats and a party atmosphere with DJ Olde and the band MUNIQUE.
Culinary Delights and Music in the Dining Areas
Whether at the Maschsee spring, the Irish Folk area, or the Löwenbastion, a varied program featuring live music, DJ nights, and wine tastings awaits you. The other dining areas also invite you to linger, enjoy, and celebrate throughout the Maschsee Festival with a wide range of musical and culinary events.
New additions include the collaboration between LINDENBLATT and ARESTO on the north shore, as well as Maloha, which serves Hawaiian poke bowls. Along the food mile, Segafredo, Hülle & Fülle, and KUHnstWERK round out the culinary offerings.
Family Program and Hands-On Activities
On August 1, the popular NKR Duck Race will provide entertainment on and around the water starting in the afternoon.
For families, the children's area in the north offers numerous hands-on activities, games, and entertainment for young guests throughout the Maschsee Festival.
After the finals, the üstralala will set sail again. On this floating pirate ship on Lake Maschsee, children ages four to ten can enjoy imaginative stories, games, and hands-on activities on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Further highlights
During the first few days of the festival, Lake Maschsee will serve as the venue for the 2026 Finals. In canoe racing and the German Rowing Championships, Germany’s top athletes will compete for championship titles right on the water.
Another special attraction is the 38-meter-high Maschseefest Ferris wheel on the plaza in front of the Heinz von Heiden Arena, which offers an impressive view of Lake Maschsee and the entire festival grounds.
