As the lead singer of the band Smokie, Chris Norman became world-famous and enjoyed great success with hits like “Living Next Door To Alice,” “Lay Back In The Arms Of Someone,” and “I’ll Meet You At Midnight” in the 1970s. “Midnight Lady” marked his phenomenal breakthrough as a solo artist. On October 25, 2025, he celebrated his 75th birthday and released his new single “Lifelines” to mark the occasion—the first single from the new album of the same name, with which he will tour Germany in the fall of 2026. 

New concept album, new tour in 2026

The new album, *Lifelines*, is set to be released in March 2026 and serves as a musical autobiography of the British singer. Each song represents a chapter in Chris Norman’s life—together, they weave a narrative of memories, emotions, and all the musical influences that have shaped him over the years. 

“I’ve selected a few special songs from over the decades—songs that mean a lot to me, both then and now. And I hope they bring back many fond memories for you as well,” explains Chris Norman.

In addition to his personal favorite songs, the album will of course also feature his hits such as “Midnight Lady” and “Stumblin’ In”—the legendary duet with Suzie Quatro.

Of course, the songs from the new album will be performed on the big stage alongside the classics that are an absolute must. The 2026 Lifelines Tour will take the charismatic rock/pop star to 13 German cities, where longtime and new fans alike can look forward to an emotional, musical journey through life with their idol. In Hannover, Chris Norman fans will have the opportunity on October 26, 2026, to experience him and his moving and dazzling story up close at the Swiss Life Hall.
