With the single “Wunderschön,” “Der Graf” is making his comeback after a nine-year hiatus, giving all “Unheilig” fans a first musical taste of the new concept album “Liebe Glaube Monster,” which is set to be released in March 2026. The next chapter of the “Unheilig” era will ultimately be crowned by an extensive arena tour that will take the band through Germany, Austria, and Switzerland in 2026 and 2027. Due to high demand, the initially planned six comeback concerts quickly expanded to 17 dates. This clearly demonstrates just how large the gap and emotional void were that “Der Graf” and his band “Unheilig” had left behind since their farewell in 2016. A farewell at the zenith of his career to date.

What kind of music does "Unheilig" play?

Thanks to their hit album *Große Freiheit* (2010), Unheilig has spent an impressive 159 weeks in the Top 100 of the official German album charts to date. The album has been certified platinum nine times, making it the most successful album ever released by a German-speaking artist. It also achieved multi-platinum status in Austria and Switzerland. 

From metal to pop, rock, and ballads, to Schlager and punk rock, or alternative music and electro—you’ll find it all in Unheilig’s musical style. The new Unheilig album, “Liebe Glaube Monster,” builds on this unique blend, featuring a colorful mix of fast-paced songs, harder-edged tracks, ballads, mid-tempo songs, and even Schlager-style numbers.

“‘Wunderschön’ is a song about friendship and connection. And that wonderful feeling and gift of falling into each other’s arms again after a long time apart. I just had to capture that ‘Wunderschön’ feeling in a song,” says “Der Graf” about the first single from his new album.

In recent years, “Unheilig” frontman “Der Graf” has had plenty of time to gather his inspiration and creative ideas and translate them into music. When the songwriter began living exclusively as a private citizen in 2016, he devoted himself primarily to the people who matter most to him—people who, for many years, had not received the time and attention he would have liked to give them. Nevertheless, he never stopped writing songs. All his thoughts, experiences, dreams, adventures, fears, and emotions from the past nine years have flowed into the new album “Liebe Glaube Monster,” which “Unheilig” will present live on December 18, 2026, at the ZAG Arena in Hannover.
