Inspired by the concept of the salon as an open space, this format brings together contemporary art, hospitality, creative and aesthetic experiences, and dialogue—serving as an interface between a cultural institution and public space in the glass-walled KUBUS on the ground floor.

Salon KUBUS takes three approaches in this regard:

Open KUBUS Salon 

The KUBUS Salon opens its doors at set times, initially every Saturday afternoon starting at 3 p.m. Visitors can explore what the artothek has to offer, meet artists, participate in short, creative workshops, or simply linger over a cup of coffee and strike up a conversation about the current exhibitions. Together with Café SITU, an open atmosphere is created that fosters both spontaneous encounters and focused conversations about art, urban society, and current issues—serving as a cultural gathering place for neighbors, art enthusiasts, creative professionals, students, artists, and anyone looking for an inspiring spot in the city center.

KUBUS Salon for Groups

For companies, institutions, government agencies, associations, and networks, the SALON offers bookable events in the afternoon and evening. Artistic inspiration, conversations with artists, and shared creative and aesthetic experiences provide a setting for exchange, team building, and networking that goes beyond traditional event formats.

The focus here is not on learning artistic techniques, but rather on experiencing art as an opportunity for a change of perspective, dialogue, and collaborative thinking.

Special Guests at the KUBUS Salon 

We regularly invite artists to present their work in small but exquisite exhibition formats, accompanied by artist talks and workshops. This series begins in October.
