New exhibition

Wild diversity in the garden

The exhibition shows just how vibrant our gardens are: fungi, mosses, microorganisms, insects, and many other animals inhabit parks and private gardens.

Exhibition: “Wild Diversity in the Garden”

Starting June 11, the Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen will host the exhibition “Wild Diversity in the Garden.” It highlights just how vibrant our gardens are: fungi, mosses, microorganisms, insects, and many other animals inhabit parks and private gardens. The exhibition explores their habitats and ecological relationships. The exhibition at the Berggarten encourages visitors to transform their own gardens or balconies into oases of biodiversity. It was developed by the Association of Botanical Gardens and can be seen in 37 gardens across Germany, Austria, and Luxembourg. Dr. Boris Schlumpberger, curator of the Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen, is overseeing the exhibition at the Berggarten and offering guided tours as well as a lecture on biodiversity.

Included in the garden admission (Berggarten: 5 euros, reduced rate 3.50 euros, free for children and teens up to age 17)

Open daily from 9 a.m.
