Sustainability
The Lower Saxony Foundation Honors Cultural Projects in Hanover
The Pavillon Cultural Center and the "Orchestra in the Stairwell" are among the five cultural projects recognized by the Lower Saxony Foundation for their commitment to sustainability.
Cultural Center Pavilion
With their wide-ranging ideas, the Pavillon Cultural Center and the "Orchester im Treppenhaus" convinced the foundation and won the award, which comes with a cash prize of 3,000 euros each.
Hanover Pavilion
The Pavillon Hannover sociocultural center and the Theaterwerkstatt have been implementing a comprehensive sustainability plan for years. A major energy-efficient building renovation in 2013, solar panels installed on the roof, the avoidance of plastic, and the reuse of stage sets are just a few examples of how these initiatives come together to form a comprehensive sustainability strategy.
Orchestra in the stairwell
The "Orchestra in the Stairwell"
The Orchester im Treppenhaus’s sustainability concept incorporates not only environmental and economic factors but also a social strategy. Furthermore, the content of its projects focuses on raising awareness of environmental, social, and socially critical issues.
