Perry Rhodan Neo: Space-Time Shuffle

With Volume 89 of the Perry Rhodan reboot “Perry Rhodan Neo,” the novel “Tschato, the Panther,” Hanover-based science fiction author Michael H. Buchholz made his debut in the series. Numerous other publications followed his debut. Together with his friend Rüdiger Schäfer, he also played a key role in shaping the Rhodan spin-off series “Atlan.”

That's what it's all about:
The year 2038 begins with a bitter setback for the human resistance against the Arkonid occupying forces: their attempt to eliminate the military commander-in-chief on New Year’s Eve fails. Now the enemy is plotting revenge. Freedom fighters Julian Tifflor and his girlfriend Mildred are tasked with secretly infiltrating one of the occupiers’ spaceships to sabotage it from within. This mission, too, threatens to fail. But then the resistance fighters receive unexpected support. Police officer Nome Tschato, also known as “The Panther,” discovers their plan and wants to help them carry it out…

The Star Maker

The novel was written by the British author Olaf Stapleton. However, it was translated into German by Wolfgang Thadewald and Thomas Schück, both from Hanover. Until his death in 2013, Thadewald was considered one of the foremost experts on the works of the French science fiction author Jules Verne. Over the course of his career, Schück has translated countless works by renowned authors in the genre and has also published several science fiction novellas of his own.

That's what it's all about:

A human leaves his small world and roams the vastness of space. He sets out in search of other living beings and eventually comes across a world inhabited by creatures not unlike humans. The cosmonaut continues his exploration and eventually discovers: All living beings he encounters on his journey through space and time share the same goal—to unravel the greatest mystery of all time and space: the mystery of the Star Creator.

Gero Reimann is the author of numerous science fiction short stories and essays. His novel *Lila Zukunft und hellgelbe Liebe* was published by Heyne in 1984.

The House of Blue Ashes

Niklas Peinecke is best known in the science fiction scene for his imaginative short stories. *The House of Blue Ashes* is the Hannover-based author’s first full-length novel and the first installment of a trilogy: the sequels, *The Souls of Blue Ashes* and *The Suns of Souls*, were published by Wurdack Verlag in 2015 and 2016.

That's what it's all about:

While performing tedious routine work, the young astrophysicist Farne stumbles upon the brown dwarf star ERC 238, which is emitting an unusual signal. She pulls out all the stops to visit the mysterious celestial body together with her friend and secret lover. When the expedition finally gets underway, the excitement is palpable at first. But then inexplicable incidents begin to pile up: the ship’s doctor disappears and is replaced by an inscrutable colleague, equipment malfunctions, and traces of a lost civilization are discovered. By the time Farne realizes the danger posed by ERC 238, it is already too late to return.

Maddrax – Earth's Dark Future

Maddrax is a post-apocalyptic pulp fiction series that blends the genres of science fiction, fantasy, horror, and adventure. The first installment, *The Dark Future of Earth*, was written by Bernd Frenz of Hanover, who published the book under his pen name Brian Frost. Frenz also wrote several novels in the famous Perry Rhoda series. In 2005, he co-authored the science fiction novel “S.T.A.L.K.E.R. – Shadow of Chernobyl: Death Zone” with Claudia Kern, which tells the prequel to the apocalyptic video game of the same name.

That's what it's all about:

A massive comet seals the fate of human civilization. A new ice age begins. It is not until more than 400 years later that the glaciers slowly begin to retreat. The survivors, however, eke out an existence marked by barbarism, anarchy, and violence. Commander Matthew Drax, a pilot, is transported to this unknown world through a time portal. From then on, adventure awaits him.
