60 degree courses in five faculties offer a comprehensive range of courses in a practical environment. In addition to electrical engineering and information technology, mechanical engineering and bioprocess engineering, economics and computer science as well as social welfare, health and social services, HsH offers a wide range of courses in the fields of media, information and design with a high international reputation.
Incorporating practical training periods into the degree program allows students to gain professional experience and establish contacts with companies while still in school. In addition, HsH offers numerous dual and part-time degree programs. Small learning groups, innovative research projects, and a wide range of continuing education opportunities for various target groups are further features that set HsH apart.
Studying "without borders" is a matter of course at HsH. HsH cooperates with around 80 foreign partner universities and attaches great importance to all its members acquiring intercultural skills. Students can easily integrate a semester abroad or an academic year with an international degree into their studies.
A particular focus of the HsH is on issues of social openness. Measures in the areas of accessibility, family friendliness and gender equality, among others, contribute to valuing diversity and successfully completing a degree. Professionally qualified people are also supported in transferring their practical experience into higher education careers as part of the "Open University".
