Leibniz University of Applied Sciences

Leibniz University of Applied Sciences was founded in 2011 as a private university, emerging from the long-established Leibniz Academy. It is committed to providing a practical education with high academic standards—located in the heart of Hannover and closely connected to the business community.

Today, approximately 650 students are enrolled at Leibniz University of Applied Sciences. In collaboration with over 190 partner companies, the university combines academic education with professional practice and specifically prepares young talent for the demands of a modern, AI-driven workplace.

The academic offerings include dual bachelor’s degree programs such as Business Administration, Business Economics, Business Informatics, and IT Security. In addition, there is a specialization in Health Management, as well as master’s degree programs such as Sustainable and Digital Transformation and Data Science. Leibniz University of Applied Sciences thus places a clear emphasis on the fields of business administration, business informatics, digitalization, sustainability, IT, and data science.

There is a particular emphasis on dual study programs: theory and practice are systematically integrated. Students learn in two settings—the university and the workplace—and apply academic knowledge directly in a practical setting.

With its location at Expo Plaza, small class sizes, and a strong network within the regional business community, Leibniz University of Applied Sciences offers a modern learning environment for anyone who wants to play an active role in shaping the future of business, technology, and emerging fields.
