25 Years of the International School in Hannover

For a quarter of a century now, the motto “Educating World Citizens” has been the guiding principle at the International School Hannover Region (ISHR) in the heart of Hannover

As a recognized supplementary school, ISHR offers innovative learning methods with its successful school concept, its state-of-the-art and high-quality technical equipment, its robotics laboratory and its own maker space as well as its outdoor learning classrooms, which inspire students' desire and enthusiasm for learning time and time again. The much-discussed digitization has already found its way into the ISHR in 2012.

English is the primary language of instruction starting in kindergarten at age 3.
Upon completion of 12th grade, graduates earn the International Baccalaureate (IB). This highly regarded diploma qualifies graduates to attend colleges and universities worldwide.

At ISHR, the best conditions are created for students to face the world of today and the challenges of tomorrow with the right skills. This is not only highly appreciated by specialists and managers from abroad. Around 35% of students at ISHR now also come from German families who want to give their children the best possible education.
