Today, the MHH has developed into one of the leading university medical institutions in Germany. In 2015, the university celebrated its 50th anniversary.
Caring for the sick
MHH Hannover Medical School
The Hannover Medical School has always viewed its mission as a commitment to helping the sick and those seeking advice. The three areas of teaching, research, and patient care are intended to work together to achieve this goal. Teaching in academic programs and in schools serves to provide practical training for patient care and to foster the next generation of scientists. Research serves to gain insights into the nature and causes of diseases. Its findings are continuously incorporated into patient care and teaching.
Unity, Freedom, Love for One's Neighbor
More than 8,000 employees serve the sick under the guiding principles of Unitas, Libertas, and Caritas. In addition, there are approximately 3,500 students enrolled in more than ten different degree programs, as well as over 600 trainees.
