A truck is coming out of a tunnel. — DHL also recognizes the advantages of Hannover as a logistics hub.

The Bonn-based logistics company also appreciates the advantages of Hannover’s location. In addition to its distribution center near the A7 in Hannover-Anderten, the logistics provider built another freight center in Langenhagen, close to the airport, in 2019.

With the opening of the nearly 9,000-square-meter cargo handling facility in Hannover-Langenhagen, DHL has once again chosen Hannover as a logistics hub. "With the opening of the new Hannover-Langenhagen freight center, we have launched another key hub for European land transport," explains Uwe Brinks, CEO of DHL Freight. “The convenient location, combined with innovative technologies, makes this new, future-oriented freight transshipment hub a key growth driver within our network.”

The 7,800-square-meter transshipment hall, with more than 80 loading bays, offers sufficient capacity to handle general cargo totaling more than 600,000 tons annually. The new DHL Freight branch will consolidate the existing locations on Stelingerstraße and Büttnerstraße in Hanover; DHL Freight is the provider of road transport services in Europe within the DHL Group.
