From cables, connectors, and accessories to integrated connectivity solutions, the company provides solutions across a wide range of industries.
LAPP products are used in manufacturing machinery, industrial robots, buses and trains, wind turbines, electric cars, and much more. Since the company sells its products worldwide, it has logistics centers all over the world.
In the fall of 2020, a logistics facility in Hannover also began operations. However, LAPP is not new to Hannover; it has had a sales office there for over 40 years.
In terms of floor space, the Hannover facility is the largest logistics site in Germany and serves as a hub for northern Germany, as well as for Scandinavia and the United Kingdom.
In addition, the company places a high priority on energy efficiency. It has reduced the use of packaging and plastic film for some products and, thanks to a new packaging line, now consumes about 50 percent less gas. Old cardboard waste is used as packing material, allowing the material to be recycled.
Sustainability is a particular focus at LAPP’s facility in Hannover: all cables for wind turbines, as well as fiber-optic and photovoltaic cables, are stored there.
